From Our Founder: Why I Started Project Smile Strong

I'm Leah Wu, a rising senior in high school and the founder of Project Smile Strong. Growing up, I was fortunate to have access to proper dental care, but I realized that many others didn’t have the same opportunity. Since oral health impacts the entire body, not just the teeth, I want to help ensure that everyone has access to the care and resources they need for a healthier future. Through Project Smile Strong, I hope to raise awareness about the importance of dental health and provide essential supplies to those in need. With a strong passion for dentistry, I plan to pursue a career in the field so I can continue making a difference in people’s lives by improving their oral health.
